Erika Sullivan


Erika has been teaching for 6 years and has trained to an advanced level in all styles of dance. She has a NZAMD solo diploma and is trained in RAD ballet. Erika has an eye for technique and is our superstar ballet specialist. Along with ballet you can also find Erika teaching contemporary, acro and jazz!

Erika is kind, generous and super friendly, making her the perfect pre-school teacher. Through imaginative play, props and great tunes, Erika has created the best environment for our youngest dancers to shine

Erika is super excited to share her love for dance with her students and continue to move, groove and grow together.

Seth Ward

Acrobatics Teacher

Seth is an Australian born dancer who is currently training at the NZSD full time contemporary programme. Seth has trained to a high level in many styles of dance from ballet to musical theatre and acrobatics he has done it all. 

Seth began his acrobatics journey by himself in his backyard. He self taught most of his tricks, in later years he has been too many workshops to learn about safe practice and clean technique. 

Seth is an enthusiastic and fun teacher who is super knowledgeable. He's mission is to create a happy space for the children to feel safe and confident to go upside down and try new things!   

Molly Gare


Molly has been teaching at Step Out for 6 years as well as managing the studio for the past 4 years. During that time her funky fun vibe has spread through the studio and into her students.

In 2021 Molly stepped up as a passionate company director and co owner. Her mission is to spread the love of dance in an inspiring, vibrant and all inclusive way. Molly is driven to keep growing Step Out with big ideas, innovative choreography and a holistic approach to her teaching. Molly always gives 100% to her students and expects the same in return.

Molly has a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Dance and has choreographed and performed in national and international shows. Molly is always excited for new opportunities to create and educate.

Atareta Bridge-Comer


Atareta (Ata) has been a creative force in Wellington and New Zealand for the past eight years. From producing dynamic performance pieces and competition sets to tutoring promising dancers in their respective styles, Atareta brings a wealth of experience to the role of creator and mentor.


In 2021, Atareta became a Director and Co-Owner of Step Out Dance Company. She is passionate about helping students of all ages to realise their full potential and encourages her students to step out of their comfort zones and onto the floor with confidence. 


She holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts majoring in Dance and has worked professionally as a performer and choreographer. Ata is beyond excited to see Step Out's zest and energy grow every year!
